Kermit the Frog is joining the fight for human rights in Iran!
"It's Not Easy Being Green"
(Green is of course the color chosen by the people of Iran in their fight for rights. Can you identify the revolutions that are mentioned by color--the "orange" and the "pink," for instance?)
Great video, a very creative way to bring awareness to an important issue. I caught the other revolutions. The Orange Revolution took place in Ukraine from 2004 to 2005 after presidential elections. I think the Yellow is referring to the People Power Revolution in the Philippines in 1986, a nonviolent agenda to overthrow 20 year authoritative president Ferdinand Marcos. The Rose Revolution was a peaceful revolution in the country of Georgia in 2003 to displace the president Eduard Shevardnadze.
ReplyDeleteThere was also the Blue Revolution that referred to the women suffrage movement in Kuwait. Also, the Tulip Revolution, also known as the Pink Revolution, took place in Kyrgyzstan.
